We are fortunate to have a few local beaches in our area. I've been to some up the coast as well. None can really compare to Gaviota for its laid-back overall friendly attitude. You can walk and talk with others without feeling like you are intruding or being intruded upon. Single females can feel safe here since the majority of the men keep an eye out for them and are complete gentlemen.

I have heard of More Mesa, but also heard they give tickets there. Gaviota has been having problems with tickets too so I haven't been in a while. Too busy trying to find work, I did just land a part time job so that's good.

Pirates Cove is still nude friendly. I believe they fixed the parking lot up and I know the stairs are nicer going down to the beach, it used to be just a dirt path.

Yes, the water is normally cold. There are a few times I've been able to get in all the way. They had a huge fire around Labor Day so alot of the brush leading to the beach area was burned off and I heard all the driftwood was burned that was on the beach. I haven't been in such a long time. School is my top priority these days....

I like San Onofre just north of Camp Pendleton but I've also visited Blacks in San Diego.

I live in new orleans and we don't have any local nude beaches. I have a roof deck and can lay around up there but there are many tall buildings around that can spy on you and they are not gentelemen about it.
Wish I had a beach like yours to lay around looks like you could find a great deal of relaxation not to mention a fine tan.
Is the water cold?
