In southern Canada there are still a few remaining spots with both sensitive eco-systems, and development pressures from real estate investors, and recreatioonal and retirement property owners.
I want to get involved in projects that re-locate development to less sensitive areas, and aim to establish, with others, conservation areas that have open access, for recreation, and yet with protection for endangered species and such.
I am interested in demonstration projects that can combine recently proven technologies, to create "net-zero-plus" communities.
Surprisingly, many technologies already exist, here and there, for different specialized needs.
Combining wind with several styles of solar energy, and newer adaptions of geothermal coils and heat pumps, is just one example.
This will be a good reason to travel on special "ecology-minded" tours.  Haynes Point Provincial Park in British Columbia, Canada, is a place that is a case in point.
